This picture really speaks to me. His face shows that of a
young teenager, but the gear he is carrying makes him look much older. What
strikes a note of fear and realization in me is that I could be in his exact position.
The lighting in this image seems to highlight the details of its serious nature.
He looks into my soul! The tiredness on his face and the
dirtiness combine together to provide great shading. His eyes look so old and
tired, staring right at me, wanting to look me straight in the face as if to challenge my emotions and depth of feeling.
